When the news was flickered out, the Dutch have come a long way from the headlines that were usually the most welcome of the day. But this week, the country’s Health Ministry announced that Viagra, marketed as the ‘little blue pill,’ is now the nation’s number one impotence treatment, with the US Food and Drug Administration warning that it could be linked to an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes in men taking the drug.
Dr Mark Dolin of the US FDA said: ‘This is the first indication that Viagra and its generic equivalent, sildenafil, are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular events and strokes, especially in men taking nitrate-containing medications.
‘Sildenafil should only be used as prescribed and monitored by a healthcare professional to avoid potentially life-threatening cardiovascular events, strokes, and heart attacks in the majority of men taking it.’
Viagra has been on the market for more than two decades, but it’s been one of the world’s biggest drugs for erectile dysfunction, and is currently the top-selling drug in the world for impotence.
According to the drugmaker, the US Food and Drug Administration has twice warned the public that Viagra could cause heart attacks and strokes. The drugmaker has issued a separate warning for consumers.
Dolin added that the warning was based on studies showing that men taking Viagra experienced an increased risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and strokes. The FDA has not yet issued any further statements about the safety of the drug, and has not made any changes to its warning statement.
Dolin said that the FDA has also not considered safety data for all the drugs in the market, including Cialis, Levitra, and Staxyn, which have been linked to an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes. It has not issued any new statements about the safety of the drug.

It is not clear if Viagra will be used by the US population, but it could be used by those who cannot take nitrates, or nitric oxide donors, or nitroglycerin, nitrous oxide donors. The drugmaker said it would appeal to consumers to take Viagra while they are taking it.
‘There is currently no information on the effects of sildenafil on cardiovascular outcomes in patients with pre-existing cardiovascular disease or coronary artery disease.’

Tina Sharlip, a 39-year-old South Carolina woman who suffered a stroke after using her own blood, has now been allowed to sell prescription drugs for her own use. All are prescribed to treat erectile dysfunction.
Sharlip, who lives in North Bergen, said she was shocked to learn that a woman who had been prescribed the drugs for her own use would now be able to sell them for her own use in the same way she had done at the time. “I felt like this is a real opportunity,” she said. “I was shocked to see the extent of this, how much money has been spent and how many people have gone through this with no help.”
Sharlip, who is also a resident of the West New WT, said that once she had been prescribed the drugs for her own use, she was able to buy them for a much smaller amount. She said that at the time she did not know that she would be able to sell them for her own use. “I was shocked to learn the extent of this,” she said.
The first prescription for Cialis, which was given to her at a New Jersey medical center last year, was filled at $20.99 for a four-month supply. A third generic, Levitra, was purchased at $9.99. On Tuesday, Sharlip was able to purchase the Cialis at a $35.99 price, which she said is much cheaper than the price of her Viagra. She said that her husband, who lives in the West New WT, would not comment on the price. She said the drugs are not yet available for purchase in the U. S.
Sharlip’s doctor, Dr. Joseph Lechleiter, has a new blood test to determine whether she has erectile dysfunction and he is considering a second one.
In April, Lechleiter said that his office had been contacted and asked if he could prescribe the drugs for himself. “It’s not going to be easy,” he said. “We’ve got a lot of patients we’ve tried. We’ve tried everything and we’ve got a lot of patients who have not yet got their prescriptions filled.”
“I’m very fortunate that I don’t have to travel, and I’m able to get the drugs for myself for free without any pressure,” Sharlip said.
She said that she would like to have her husband to talk to about the costs of her own health care. She said that she would also like to have a discussion with the doctors at the medical center about whether she could sell the drugs for her own use. “They’ll talk about the risks and benefits and I think that I’ll be able to give them some of that information and say, ‘OK, OK, let’s talk about it.’”
In her statement, Sharlip said the doctors have said that she has not experienced any side effects of the drugs. “There’s not one adverse effect,” she said.
